We have been using Natreen Yogurt Starter for almost 10 years . Used to get it from Lori's Health Food in Rochester. It was only by the Label on the bottle we were able to source it direct. It is as we tell others it is Greek yogurt without the sugar. We use a pasteurized but not homogenized milk to get butter fat in the yogurt. Great product and worth every penny.

Great product that I’ve been using for years. One teaspoon yields a gallon of yogurt using my recipe. Product stable to at least the use by date. Have never had any failures to grow cultures.

I have tried a number of other yogurt starters, but this one is ‘hands down’ the best. I make at least two batches of yogurt per week, and we love, LOVE, LOVE Natren.

We have used Natreen Bulgarian Starter for 10 years and it makes a great Yogurt. I use pasteurized but not homogenized whole milk and get a great butter top when cured. I always say we get Greek Yogurt without the sugar. I tested sugar content and it only has 2% sugar in 6 oz. . I could not figure out how to send a picture or video

This is the best yogurt starter I have found. We have dairy goats and I regularly make yogurt from their milk. This is the only starter that makes great consistency yogurt without me having to heat up the milk and cool it again. I use milk straight from the goat and also a few days old kept in the fridge. I just mix it in and pour into jars then stick them in my oven on bread proof (approx. 110 F). I leave it in for about 12 to 18 hours and voila! It's more runny than store bought yogurt, but my whole family loves it. I sometimes drain it in very fine cheese cloth and make yogurt cheese (German Quark). There is nothing else like it. Use in place of cream cheese, or sour cream. A little goes a long way, as I can use already made yogurt to make another batch once, so I get twice the yogurt out of the starter. I hope this will always be available here! Thanks!

I've used this off and on for over 10 years -- alternating with another brand that's similar. Natren consistently produces a wonderful yogurt. I also use it because I'm sensitive to the bifid bacteria. This is one of the few starters without bifids.

I am long overdue to post a review for this product. I have a dairy goat and have been using this starter for well over a year to make yogurt. I do exactly what they say in the instructions on this site and have had excellent results....thick, creamy wonderful tasting goats milk yogurt every time. I do a 24 hour ferment in airlock (pickl-it system) jars in my dehydrator. I don’t ever want to be without Natrens starter culture for my yogurt!!!! Thank you for a fantastic product to help my gut issues
